It’s not just about the results — it’s about your experience along the way too. We select cutting-edge technologies to ensure both your comfort and our precision in treatment planning.
We want you to look forward to your orthodontist visits
iTero™ Element Intraoral Scanner
No Goop, No Mess, No Putty
With the iTero Element Digital Scanner, taking digital impressions is a quick, comfortable process. This advanced scanning technology replaces the need for traditional putty impressions, which means no goop or gagging during impressions!
The iTero intraoral scanner creates a precise 3D model of the teeth in just a few minutes. The accuracy of iTero impressions allows us to create 100% personalized treatment plans for each patient and achieve highly-predictable results with your choice of treatment.
Digital iTero™ Outcome Simulator
Curious to know what your new smile could look like, before you even get started? With iTero technology, we can show you an outcome simulation of your predicted end results on your very first visit. It’s like getting a sneak peek at the future — and trust us, it’s exciting!
SprintRay 3D Printer
We have our very own, highly-advanced SprintRay 3D printer at our Alexandria orthodontic office! Having our own state-of-the-art 3D printer enables us to fabricate custom retainers and custom clear aligners in-house.
By streamlining the process of custom-designing treatments for our patients, we get to pass along savings to you and minimize the time needed to design and fabricate your treatments.
Digital X-rays
We use digital x-rays to capture images of our patients’ smiles, because they’re safer and use minimal radiation to produce high-quality photos. They allow for only an eighth of the exposure that traditional x-rays do!
Advanced technology x-rays are also more comfortable for our patients. We simply place a sensor inside of the mouth to generate an x-ray, and use this information to create your personalized treatment plan.
i-CAT™ FLX Cone Beam for CBCT Imaging
What does a CBCT scan show? We use advanced 3D CBCT Imaging technology to detect possible airway problems, TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disorder, or other conditions in the tissues, muscles, joints or jaw bones.
It’s important that we see the full picture of your teeth and everything that lies underneath to create a clinically accurate treatment plan. Dr. Lu considers every detail when creating your personalized treatment plan.
